The Citroën Berlingo Camper Conversion can be manufactured in different materials, each with similar properties but unique characteristics. Below we explain the features and prices of each option (at the end of this section, you'll find a button linking to the online shop with full pricing).

Poplar Plywood – €650 with Mattress Pack Included

• Very light color, close to white, with subtle wood grain.

• The lightest option: a Berlingo kit weighs approx. 30 kg.

• Easy to handle, hydrophobic (highly resistant to humidity), with good water resistance (not fully waterproof).

• 15 mm thickness.

• Advantages: Very resistant, hard to chip or break, and excellent value in larger kits.

• Disadvantage: Slightly softer wood, may mark if pressure is applied (e.g., sitting on keys).

Natural Wood Phenolic Plywood – €650 with Mattress Pack Included

• Medium to light natural wood color with visible grain.

• Rustic look, perfect for those who prefer a cabin-style atmosphere.

• Slightly heavier than poplar but stronger (approx. 40 kg for a Berlingo kit).

• 15 mm thickness.

• Advantages: Waterproof, does not swell or rot. Phenolic treatment is between the wood layers.

• Disadvantage: More porous compared to other options.

Phenolic HPL Coachbuilder Plywood – €700 with Mattress Pack Included

• Very dark brown, almost black color.

• 15 mm thickness.

• Advantages: Strongest and most durable of all, fully waterproof (inside and outside), HPL anti-stick surface, and the easiest to clean.

• Disadvantage: Heaviest of the three, though still considered lightweight.

Features of the Citroën Berlingo Camper Furniture Kit

The Citroën Berlingo Camper Kit includes a custom pull-out drawer designed for a Campingaz stove (1 burner or larger). Behind the drawer, there is an independent trunk with a top lid for extra storage.

It also features a multi-height table, usable both inside and outside. Inside the van, the table can be set up in dining mode or sofa/hammock mode, as shown clearly in the demo video.

On the left side, the kit comes with a trunk with both top and front openings. We particularly recommend this dual-access design, as it makes the best use of the available space. Here you can place a water tank for an outdoor shower or even a portable WC (Potti).

👉 Our suggestion: store the Potti in the table compartment and, once the kit is unfolded, move it to the front of the van during mealtimes. This way, the left trunk remains free for water or other equipment.

There is also the option of installing double drawers, although we do not recommend it. While it may look attractive, it significantly reduces usable storage space since it adds slides and wood inside wood. In addition, the leverage effect of full-extension drawers can be an issue over time, even though we use reinforced slides capable of holding 30–40 kg.

✅ Exception: If you plan to equip a portable compressor fridge, we do recommend a special sliding drawer for the fridge, as shown in the demo video.

Design, Durability & Dimensions of the Citroën Berlingo Camper Kit (2025 Update)

We place great importance on aesthetics and harmony with the vehicle interior. That's why our 2025 updated designs now include dark grey mattress packs, based on customer requests.

Above all, we value durability: our goal is for the camper furniture to last even longer than the vehicle itself, provided it is used with care.

The size of the Citroën Berlingo Camper Kit varies depending on the generation (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and the version (M or XL):

• Width: approx. 115 cm without mattress pack / 120 cm with mattress pack

• Depth: varies by generation

• Bed length: 187 cm (extendable to 190 cm if required)

The mattress packs are tailor-made for each Berlingo model and are divided into sections to optimize dining, lounge, or hammock modes.

Structure & Stability of the Citroën Berlingo Camper Kit

All our modules include a dedicated space to store the table leg and bed legs, keeping them secure and preventing movement. Everything is neatly integrated within the trunk.

When the camper kit is unfolded, the weight is distributed across three parts:

1. Main module structure

2. First fold-out section, resting on the seats (with or without a folding leg)

3. Second fold-out section, supported by removable legs

This smart distribution ensures that the seats are fully protected and the kit remains solid and stable at all times.

As you can see, the appearance of the furniture remains the same, but there are two key differences:

• Bed length: in the Berlingo M the bed reaches 187 cm, while in the Berlingo XL it can extend up to 220 cm, depending on customer request.

• Module depth: in the XL version, the main structural module (the part that fits into the trunk) is 30 cm deeper, providing significantly more storage capacity.
