Today we introduce a new section in our camper world: removable camper kits for cars, MPVs and 4x4s. After more than 7 years converting mainly vans – and also a good number of cars, people carriers and 4x4 vehicles – we now bring all that experience together in a dedicated car & 4x4 mini camper conversion section.

It's no secret that the vanlife trend is growing fast, but at the same time there is an explosion of modern cars and SUVs that are more comfortable, larger and more spacious inside than ever before. Classic compact cars that used to be known for being small and easy to park are slowly disappearing, and instead we see:

• SUVs with generous boot space

• Family cars and MPVs with very large rear compartments

• Compact cars with "extra-large" boots designed for families and travel

On the other side, 4x4 vehicles have always been there – and we trust they will stay. More and more people are choosing 4x4 camper conversions to reach remote places that are difficult or impossible for vans, following wilder routes and off-road adventures.

With this in mind, the reality today is that you can camperize almost any vehicle. With simpler, smarter camper layouts, the interior dimensions of most cars, MPVs and 4x4s allow us to create comfortable beds for 1 or 2 people, often combined with a small kitchen drawer and clever storage. The main limitation compared to vans is usually the interior height, which makes it difficult to sit at an indoor table in a natural position. However, you can still enjoy a folding table for outdoor use, which is perfect for eating and cooking outside.

Apart from this height difference, there are no big drawbacks. With our car, MPV and 4x4 camper kits you can:

All mattress packs are made to measure, optimising the interior dimensions of each model. They are usually built in three modular pieces, making them easier to handle, fold and store when you're not sleeping.

Yes. Our removable camper furniture kits for cars, MPVs and 4x4 vehicles are designed to create a comfortable bed, storage and a compact kitchen drawer inside everyday vehicles. Many modern cars, SUVs and family MPVs now offer enough interior length to sleep 1 or 2 people with a properly designed mini camper conversion.

Do I need homologation for a car, MPV or 4x4 camper kit?
No. Our car, MPV and 4x4 camper kits are designed as fully removable "quita y pon" furniture and are legally considered cargo, not a fixed conversion. This means no homologation is required, and you can go to your ITV/MOT inspection with the kit installed.

How many people can sleep in a car, MPV or 4x4 camper kit?
Most of our car, MPV and 4x4 camper layouts are designed for 1 or 2 people, depending on the model and boot length. In many MPVs and large SUVs, we can create a double bed, while in smaller cars and some 4x4s we optimise for a comfortable single bed.

Can I have a table inside the car or 4x4 camper conversion?
In most cars, SUVs and 4x4s, the interior height is more limited than in vans, so it is often not possible to sit comfortably at an indoor table. However, we can still provide a table for outdoor use, perfect for cooking and eating outside while keeping the bed and storage inside.

you can install the kit for weekends, trips and holidays, and remove or fold it when you need your vehicle as a normal daily car, family MPV or 4x4.
