No type of vehicle homologation is required. They are designed to be considered luggage, meaning you can even take them with you when passing your vehicle inspection (ITV).

When driving, the custom Dacia Bigster Camper Furniture Kit folds completely into the boot. The custom mattress pack also fits inside, while keeping the original trunk cover in place. This way, you maintain full visibility through the rear window and nothing inside the trunk can be seen from outside.

The camperization of the Dacia Bigster can be manufactured in different materials. All of them have similar properties, but with some differences worth noting. Properties and Color:

• Very light tone, almost white, with soft natural wood grain.

• Lightest material of all. A typical Dacia Bigster camper module weighs around 40 kg.

• Very easy to handle, water-resistant (hydrofuge) and highly resistant to humidity, although not 100% waterproof.

• Thickness: 15 mm

Advantages: Extremely durable, hard to splinter or break.
Disadvantages: Not completely waterproof, though very water-resistant.

Phenolic Natural Wood Plywood – €650 with Mattress Pack Included

Properties and Color:

• Medium to light natural wood tone with visible grain.

• Lightweight and resistant, with a rustic feel, perfect for those who prefer a cabin-style look.

• Thickness: 15 mm

Advantages: Waterproof – it does not swell or rot, as the phenolic treatment is applied between the wood layers.
Disadvantages: More porous than the other materials.

Phenolic HPL Bodybuilder Plywood – €650 with Mattress Pack Included

Properties and Color:

• Very dark brown, almost black.

• Strongest and most durable of all materials, offering the highest quality and longevity.

• Thickness: 15 mm

Advantages: Fully waterproof inside and out, HPL anti-stick surface, and the easiest material to clean.
Disadvantages: The heaviest of the three options, although still within the lightweight category.

Dacia Bigster Camper Furniture – Features & Equipment

The Dacia Bigster Camper Furniture Kit includes a custom pull-out drawer designed to fit a Campingaz stove (1 burner or larger), with additional space to store spare gas cartridges or a small pantry.

On the left side, the kit features a storage chest with both top and front openings. The top lid can also be used as an outdoor table with tripod support, or it can simply rest against the module to serve as a side table. This gives you extra surface space next to the kitchen drawer or an auxiliary table for eating outside the vehicle — either with foldable chairs or without them.

The storage capacity is compact but sufficient to carry the essentials needed for short trips, perfect for 1 or 2 people.

Bed & Mattress Sizes for Dacia Bigster Camper Kit

The bed size of the Dacia Bigster Camper Furniture Kit with mattress is approximately 110 cm wide by 180 cm long.

As with all our Camper Furniture Kits, the custom mattress pack is always included. However, if you prefer, you can purchase the Bigster camper kit without mattresses, and the mattress price will be deducted from the total.

Installation, Weight Distribution & Storage in Bigster

All our Dacia Bigster Camper Kits are designed to keep everything tidy and compact inside the boot space. The legs of the bed and the support for the table have their own dedicated storage compartment, avoiding rattling noises when driving.

Once unfolded, the camper furniture distributes the weight in three separate sections to avoid damaging any part of the vehicle: the main module structure inside the boot, the first extension panel that rests on the rear seats (with foldable legs if needed), and the second extension panel that rests on detachable legs, which also have a storage slot when not in use.

This system has been extensively tested, guaranteeing stability, strength, and durability. The rear seats remain completely protected at all times, ensuring no wear or damage during use.
