Typical bed size is 117–120 cm wide and up to 187 cm long. The module folds completely into the boot while keeping full rear visibility. 

Kangoo Maxi — +30 cm trunk depth, bed up to 210 cm

The camper module is 30 cm deeper, providing extra storage capacity. Bed length can be extended up to 210 cm on request.

Poplar Plywood (Natural) – €650 with mattress pack included

Properties and color:

• Very light color, almost white, with a subtle wood grain.

• It is the lightest option: a Renault Kangoo camper kit in this material weighs around 30 kg, making it easy to handle.

• Water-repellent (high resistance to humidity) and although not 100% waterproof, it offers strong protection against water.

• Thickness: 15 mm.

• Highly resistant and difficult to splinter or break.

✅ Advantages: Affordable, especially noticeable in larger camper modules.
❌ Disadvantages: The wood is softer and can mark if you sit on hard objects (like keys), even though it does not break easily.

Phenolic Plywood (Natural Wood) – €650 with mattress pack included

Properties and color:

• Medium to light natural wood tone with visible grain.

• Thickness: 15 mm.

• Strong and lightweight, with a rustic feel — ideal if you like a wood cabin-style camper interior.

• Slightly heavier than poplar but more durable; a Kangoo kit in this material weighs approx. 40 kg.

• Fully phenolic, meaning it is waterproof: the wood may get wet, but it won't swell or rot due to the phenolic treatment between layers.

✅ Advantages: More resistant to marks and scratches.
❌ Disadvantages: It is the most porous option of the three.

Phenolic Plywood HPL (Carpenter's Board) – €700 with mattress pack included

Properties and color:

• Very dark brown, almost black.

• Thickness: 15 mm.

• The most durable and high-quality option for a Renault Kangoo camper kit.

• Fully phenolic (both inside and outside) making it completely waterproof.

• HPL (High Pressure Laminate) anti-adherent surface, making it the easiest to clean.

✅ Advantages: Maximum resistance, durability, and hygiene.
❌ Disadvantages: Heavier than the other two, although still considered lightweight compared to other camper furniture materials.

Renault Kangoo Camper Furniture Features

Includes pull-out kitchen drawer, multi-height table, storage chest

The Renault Kangoo camper furniture kit includes a custom pull-out drawer designed to fit a Campingaz 1-burner stove or larger. Behind this drawer, there is an independent storage trunk with a top lid.

In the center, the kit features a multi-height table that can be used both inside and outside the vehicle. Inside, it can be positioned in dining mode or lounge mode, as clearly shown in the video.

On the left side, the kit includes a trunk with both top and front openings. Based on our experience, we recommend this double-opening trunk, as it makes much better use of space. It can hold a water container for an outdoor shower or even a portable WC "Potti". Our advice: keep the Potti in the table compartment, and once the camper module is unfolded, place it in the front of the vehicle when needed (e.g., while eating). This way, the left trunk remains free for water containers or other camping gear.

If preferred, the kit can be equipped with a double-drawer configuration, but we do not recommend it. While it may look good in pictures, in practice it reduces usable space significantly by adding extra rails and wood inside wood. It also increases the long-term lever effect of full-extension drawers. For such cases, we use reinforced rails that can hold up to 30–40 kg.

However, if you plan to add a portable compressor fridge, we do recommend a special sliding drawer designed specifically for the fridge, as shown in the video.

Still, for us, the most important aspects are strength and durability: our Renault Kangoo camper furniture kit is built to last longer than the vehicle itself, provided it is given proper care.

The Renault Kangoo camper kit dimensions vary depending on the model generation (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). Each new generation of the Kangoo has increased in size, and in the current version, the kit also varies between Kangoo M and Maxi sizes. Camper Bed Size & Mattress Pack for Kangoo

In general, the Renault Kangoo camper furniture kit measures 117 cm wide without the mattress pack, and 120 cm wide with the mattress pack included. The depth of the kit varies depending on the generation of the Renault Kangoo, as explained in the previous section.

For all models, the bed length is extended to 1.87 m, and can be increased up to 1.90 m when required. The mattress pack is custom-made for each model and comes in separate sections, designed to optimize the dining mode, lounge mode, and hammock mode.

In all our Renault Kangoo camper modules, there is a dedicated storage space for the table leg and bed legs, keeping them secure and preventing movement while driving. Everything is stored neatly inside the trunk space.

In every version of the Renault Kangoo camper kit, once unfolded, the furniture distributes the weight across three separate sections, thoroughly tested to ensure no part of the vehicle is damaged:

1. The main camper module structure, which forms the largest section.

2. The first fold-out extension, resting on the seats with a foldable leg or directly on top of them.

3. The second fold-out extension, supported by removable legs that also have a dedicated storage space within the module.
